Instructions for Sending Us Your Files:

You are welcome to mail us a master disc to replicate or duplicate, but for projects that are time-sensitive, we encourage you to send your files electronically.  Sending files electronically is done by using a simple process called FTP (file transfer protocol).  It involves setting up a password-protected account and installing a free program that allows you to send your files to that account.   To send us your files, please follow these step-by-step instructions:

Getting Your Account:

1.   Request a User Account (Username and Password) so we can provide you with space for your files on our servers.  Fill out the Quick Request form below to get your account.  You will need to enter the invoice number from your paid order so we can build your FTP account unique to your project.

2.  You will receive an email with your confirmed Username and Password once your account has been created.

Using Your Account:

3.   Compress your file(s) using a program like Stuffit or WinZip (trial versions are free).  This step will save you time and will conserve your account space on our server.  (PLEASE DO NOT make the file a self-extracting (.exe or .sea) as we do not open those types of files.)

4.   Download and install an FTP Client program on your computer.  We recommend FileZilla for its ease of use and compatibility with various computers.

5.   Connect to your account by opening FileZilla (or whatever FTP Client program you choose to use), entering the user account information that was emailed to you in step 2 above, and clicking the "connect" button in the FTP Client program.  The FTP Client program will have spaces for the following (Replace words in orange italics with your account information):

Address: ftp://www.benchmarkmultimedia.info
User:  username@benchmarkmultimedia.info
Password: password
Port: 21

6.  Upload your files once you have successfully signed into your FTP account using the instructions above. You can locate your project file(s) on your computer in the "local" section of the FTP screen.  Then you can copy (or drag) them using your mouse) to the "remote" section of the FTP screen.  Be sure that the total size of your files does not exceed the space that your account will hold (as described in the email from step 2 above).
